Meet Wole Hammond


Oluwole 'Wole Hammond is a multimedia storyteller and sustainability professional, based in Nigeria. His work explores using words and visuals to tell human interest and socio-environmental stories of the 21st century. He attended the Canon-Miraisha Digital and Street photography workshop in Lagos, Nigeria (2018). He is a Bakanal de Afrique Art Fellow (2020). He is also a member of the African Photojournalism Database (APJD), a joint project by the World Press Photo Foundation and Everyday Africa. Wole works with non-profits to promote a clean environment and sustainable development goals. Some of his works have been featured on platforms such as the World Economic Forum (WEF), Vogue Italia, Transparency and Accountability Initiative (TAI), Institut du Francais Nigeria, and many more.

He believes that photography is a medium to spotlight real issues and amplify untold narratives. Wole is also actively involved in initiatives that promote social development and environmental sustainability in his community.
